Postcards from the garden
Lately I’ve been spending every spare minute in the gardens - either at the front of the house, planting sunflowers I’ve grown from seed, adding just one more hydrangea to my collection, weeding, or deadheading flowers and inspecting rose buds for aphids…
…or in the back garden, sighing as I plant out another batch of cucumber plants, just for the slugs to probably devour these too, or re-pot yet another flower I bought on my way home from the coffee shop, weed again, water the plants in the greenhouse, and a million other joyful little jobs that keep me busy and happy outdoors.
I keep taking the camera out to capture some corners of the garden and the greenhouse, and I end up picking up a plant or a pot and before I know it, an hour has passed and I have forgotten why I went out in the first place.
So for now, these are the only captures I have. Hope they inspire in you a desire to go outside, even of just for a few minutes, in search for a little bit of nature. I’ll be back with more photos and words, I just have to plant one more batch of cabbage and cucumbers… and the beans need trellises, and the fence needs painting…
