This curated collection of dark and moody food photography captures a few small moments of late afternoon creative outbursts. From rustic vegetable table arrangements to a raspberry cake decadently overloaded with cream cheese frosting, each frame tells a story in low light and deep contrast. Juicy strawberries and raspberries glisten under soft highlights, inviting you to experience food as art — styled with intention, emotion, and atmosphere.

Not every experiment turns out as envisioned. This cake, overflowing with frosting, fresh berries spilling out, dark chocolate sponge crumbling under the weight of it all - somehow remained the most memorable cake of this year (so far).

A feast for eyes and tastebuds, rich and decadent, it has left its mark.

I have captured this final image before dividing it into slices to be gifted to friends and neighbours.
